Athletic Therapists assess your injuries, utilize modern rehabilitation techniques, manual therapy, physical reconditioning, and supportive strapping procedures to help restore and maintain an active lifestyle. For your visit, bring shorts for a lower-body injury and a short-sleeved shirt for an elbow or shoulder.

Due to limited availability, Ocean is currently not accepting new patients at this time. If you are in need of osteopathic treatment, please book with our other two OMTs, Rachel and Christine. You can also contact the clinic to be placed on a waitlist to see Ocean.

Ocean is an Osteopathic Manual Therapist who graduated from the Canadian School of Osteopathy, a 5 year program. She has also completed a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Calgary, and was a member of the U of C varsity wrestling team for four years. Her background in athletics and dealing with injuries has given her great insight into how important it is to support and care for your body to better enjoy your every day life and activities.

Ocean has been passionate about treating people since a wrestling injury back in high school which spurred a drive for deeper knowledge into the human body. This led her to finding Osteopathy.

Osteopathy is a natural modality which aims to restore function in the body by treating the causes of pain and imbalance. To achieve this goal the Osteopathic Manual Practitioner relies on the quality and finesse of his/her palpation and works with the position, mobility and quality of the tissues.

In treatments, Ocean uses cranial osteopathy, visceral manipulation, fascial release, and joint mobilization techniques. You can expect a full body assessment at each session to guide Ocean to where your body needs work to help you feel your best. She enjoys treating infants to the elderly because we all need a little support throughout every stage of life.

During her down time, Ocean enjoys reading from her never-ending to-be-read pile of books, spending time in nature, and learning about herbalism.

Due to limited availability, Ocean is currently not accepting new patients at this time. If you a... Read More

Christine grew up in Regina, Saskatchewan and after completing her first 3 years of post-secondary at the University of Regina, she transferred to Mount Royal College in Calgary to complete her Bachelor Degree in Kinesiology with an Advanced Athletic Therapy Certificate. She enjoyed the atmosphere and challenge of working with athletes and completed her certification with the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association and still maintains this membership.

Christine wanted to pursue further education and pursued the Osteopathic Manual Practitioner program through the Canadian School of Osteopathy, Manual Practice in Vancouver. This is where she found her passion. She views the body as a whole, much like a puzzle, and loves helping people piece it back together when they aren’t feeling 100%.

When Christine is not working she enjoys staying active with her young family. Christine is married to a teacher (an outdoor enthusiast at heart) and is the proud mom to 4 sons (older brother, and triplets). Her clinical interests include working on foot, ankle, and lower body dysfunction. But her true passion is working with fertility, prenatal, and post-partum patients.
